As I shuffled the cards to select this week's Intuitive Tuesday tarot card, I said, "Tell me what messages I need to bring to my readers this week." I selected the The Magician (reversed) from the Gateway to the Divine Tarot deck by Ciro Marchetti.
I have previously selected the The Magician (Reversed). Here is an excerpt from that post:
In its upright position, The Magician is about using the gifts and tools you have to take charge of your life so you can create your own destiny.A personal example:
When reversed (upside-down), it can mean that you are somehow blocked and not using all of your available resources, experience, wisdom, gifts or tools to move you forward. You have all of the ingredients, but haven't quite figured out how to create a delicious masterpiece.
Today this card really speaks to me. In an effort to unblock and share my gifts, I find myself going in a thousand directions.
I know. It's nothing new for me to be busy. With kids in middle and high school, these are some busy (and fun) times...so would I expect anything to be different? No.
I'm sure you are busy too. Almost every person I talk to expresses how busy they are. So I know it's not just me.
What I realize, however, is that each one of us creates our lives, including the PACE of our lives. And I do love to be busy (most of the time).
The appointments keep popping up in my calendar and I am running from one activity to the next, but many times I find that I'm not savoring what's happening right now.**
Many times I find that instead of living my life, I'm perpetually PLANNING to live my life. Do you find that too?
Are we so busy trying to prove that we ARE The Magician (applying our many gifts) that we make ourselves CRAZY busy trying to be everything to everyone?
What are we (am I) trying to prove by being this busy?
(**Thank goodness for Perfect Moment Monday, where each week I write about a moment when I am completely present and it's PERFECT! This helps me to return to the present moment and remember how blessed I truly am.)The message of The Magician (Reversed) is to know that you (I) don't have to prove a thing. You are (I am) gifted with all kinds of talents...but you (I) don't have to try so hard.
If I'm trying this hard and am SO busy, what gifts might I be overlooking by not being completely here?
If you can relate to this energy, set an intention to flip The Magician back to its upright position and use your gifts wisely. You can read more about The Magician's energy here and here.
The message of The Magician (Reversed): It's up to you how hard you want to try to be great. You already are, so any additional effort you put into it is wasted energy.

I have definitely been feeling "blocked" lately, especially the last couple of weeks.
I now have a focus--to work on turning this energy back upright, and recognize that all that I need I already have.
Thank you for this timely message. I think I, too, and PLANNING to live my life more than actually LIVING it. This reading is such a great reminder to be more present.
I just took a cleansing breath. :-)
