Intuitive Tuesday -- Ace of Cups

Every Tuesday I select one card and give you my interpretation of it. See how it applies to your life and ask, "What messages are here for you?"

As I shuffled the cards to select this week's Intuitive Tuesday tarot card, I said, "Tell me what messages I need to bring to my readers this week." I selected the Ace of Cups from the Gilded Tarot by Ciro Marchetti and Barbara Moore.

Selecting the Ace of Cups may indicate that somewhere in your life you are richly engaged in your emotions and there is an excitement you feel in your soul about something or someone.

I have previously written about the Ace of Cups. If you'd like to read the previous post, click here. One of the key descriptions of this card is:

The Ace of Cups has to do with deep, overflowing emotions, the start of new emotions, new love, friendship, peace and abundance. It can also symbolize childbirth, pregnancy, motherhood, romance, health and psychic abilities.

A personal example:
I recently finished my Yoga Teacher Training. Woo Hoo!
To graduate, we took a final exam (16 pages of hand-written short answer/essay questions).  In addition, each student completes a "solo," which means leading a 75-minute class for the other teacher training students, other teachers, and the studio owner...complete with music, lights, spray, quotes, etc.
I did my solo last Tuesday evening and was the last of the teacher training students to do it -- luck of the draw. I was excited and nervous all at the same time.
About ten minutes into the practice, I had what I call an "emotional high." It's when I have an overwhelming connection with a higher energy and for some reason I almost feel like crying...not sad crying, but more like happy crying, as though I am doing exactly what I am meant to be doing at that point in time. It's very spiritual.

All week I have been feeling Ace of Cups energy for my own yoga practice, and for teaching. It's new, challenging and just a great experience to see people moving so gracefully from pose to pose. It's breath-taking.
When two teachers needed subs for their classes on Thursday and Saturday mornings, my Ace of Cups energy was activated. Before I could even think about it, my mouth opened and I committed to teaching these classes.
My name is actually on the schedule. I teach the Monday 6:15 a.m. class. I'm official!
Each time I teach, my Ace of Cups feelings are re-ignited.
My goal is to get ten classes under my belt. Each time I teach, I get more comfortable and connect a little more with the universal teacher in me. It's been an awesome experience!
I'm curious as to what Ace of Cups feelings you have in your life... It can be about a person, a situation, your career, education, children, etc. You probably already have a pretty good idea what area of your life you are experiencing the Ace of Cups energy because of your excitement and motivation to keep moving forward.

At its most basic meaning, the Ace of Cups is about feeling alive. What a great card for today!

I feel your joy as I read this.

I'll bet the classes you sub for will not forget their experience with you.

I've been having insights about the role of accusation and blame as a core center of gravity my life has been oriented around--attempting to avoid this pain, usually by inflicting it on myself before anyone else could. My Ace of Cups energy is activated, or maybe I should say, released, as I feel that release from this knot is possible.

Love you!

My friend's son took his own life, on his birthday, in December. He took it in a place where she can see it, every day, from every window in her house.

Another friend, and I, were together with her this weekend.

I just went back, and read your other post about Ace of Cups, from the perspective of "feeling the love".

It seems paradoxical that my own connection to love seems strengthened, and purified when in her presence. Perhaps it's the beauty of witnessing her unconditional love for her son, her unconditional grief, and her generosity of spirit as she shares herself. She is a person whose personal alchemy takes enormous pain and radiates...beauty. I'm in awe, and so grateful she permits me to be there. My heart is full.

Yesterday I sat with my friend, Joyce from Grand Junction, in the little park here in my town in New Mexico, listening to Paul Pino and the Tone Daddies playing great music - much of it Mexican - when suddenly I felt this huge upswelling of love from my heart for the community, the people, and my life here. I believe this was and is an Ace of Cups experience.

Thank you for sharing your Yoga teacher experience with us, Sheri.

I would LOVE to be in one of your yoga classes. We might end up crying (for joy) together.

Congrats on pursuing your Ace of Bliss!

I am on the cusp of my cup running over in anticipation of new romantic love. I have dated in years for myriad reasons yet longed for partner that is on the same spiritual path AND that I am attracted to (hard to find combination it seems). I have held out for an equal, someone who challenges me, inspires me, and loves me as I reciprocate. I joined eHarmony a few weeks ago and had been very dissappointed in the matches they sent me. A few I was attracted but had it in my mind that "he" will initiate contact. And it appears that "he" did. We are going to meet this weekend, if not sooner and it sure feels like the Ace of Cups to me!!! I haven't been this excited about dating in years! God knows I have tried time and again... ;)

Here's to everyones cup running over with abundant love!!!

Beautiful post and comments. It certainly is what the world needs more of.

Last nite a friend shared with me a phrase that came to mind that she decided to post on her fb page. It seems to fit perfectly with today's theme:

"LOVE, the original renewable resource. The more you give, the more there is."

cool..
I'm taking a holistic class for the semester. My teacher briefly discussed about Engery work and grabbed a partner. To my amazement, I put my hands close around her body. Her body was cool but my partner's crown (head) was hot. I couldn't believe the sensation coming off of her. It was like waves of heat blasting on top of head. So, I asked her if she was mad. She told me that she had a headache. Really?

Even though I was off, I was stunned that I 'knew' there was problem. I felt tingly, and a bit emotional (in a good way).

So, I believe that this where my Ace of Cups was activated.

I can't wait for more.

I read this yesterday and had nothing to say. Nothing. I was feeling not very alive at all.

After working through some emotions (the suppressing of which was weighing me down), today I feel hopeful and expectant. I'm looking for ways to make my life more full.
