Perfect Moment Monday -- Father Ties

Each week I participate in Perfect Moment Monday, sponsored by the blog, WeeblesWobblog.com. According to Weebles, "Perfect Moment Monday is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect Moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between." And so, here is a Perfect Moment for this week.

The boys just finished the school year and yes, there were lots of tears because of how sad they were that school is out for the summer (please read with a very sarcastic tone!)

On James' last day of middle school, the 8th graders had a "Bon Voyage" dance. James, of course, had been preparing for weeks to have just the right outfit ready to go.

That morning, he asked my DH to help him tie his tie. As I watched DH interact with James, I realized that it was only a year ago that he had adopted the boys.

I am constantly amazed at how much my DH cares for the boys -- loving them, playing with them, teaching them, and helping them become wonderful young men. DH is a great, loving role model. I could not have asked for more.

As I stepped back to watch, I realized the perfect moment that was unfolding before my eyes. I felt grateful for my DH and for how wonderfully my sons are growing up.

It was indeed Perfect!

I have had the chance to see The Man in action with The Boys, and it certainly seems that he was born to be a great dad to them.

Love the photo. Such a story in there.

These Perfect moments are seriously ruining my makeup today...LOL

That breathe of PARENTHOOD, the day in and day out of things..the pure helping of that photo is just incredible to me.

there is so much being said in that picture, so much love being given without even knowing it.

Ah, that is VERY sweet. That tie-tying thing is actually a form of bonding for dad's and sons, I think. I've seen it with my own husband and sons many times.
