Today’s card -- the Six of Coins (Pentacles) Reversed -- comes from the Legacy of the Divine Tarot
by Ciro Marchetti.In its upright position, it is a card of charity and giving. The idea is that you have enough prosperity and flow to share with others.
When it is reversed, however, the Six of Coins can act as a warning. There may be jealousy, miserliness or possibly some strings attached that may not have been fully exposed.
In Anthony Louis' book, Tarot: Plain and Simple
, Louis says the Six of Coins (Pentacles) reversed, "often suggests a loss of money or property due to carelessness, dishonesty, or lack of prudence. Someone may refuse to pay a debt or return a favor, or a loan may come due, leaving you financially strapped."Although this may not be the BEST news in the world, when I pull cards that I'm not thrilled about, I realize that it's better to be aware (but not paranoid) as to what *might* be coming my way.
This is a great time to mention (as I do to all of my clients), that I don't use tarot cards as a way to tell the future, but more as a way to tap into what's happening right now, what the emotions are surrounding a situation, and to gain greater insights into how to best handle various situations in life.
Knowing that there is ALWAYS free will...I know that no matter what comes my way, I can handle it.
With the Six of Coins (Pentacles) reversed, remember that Pentacles have to do with money. With that in mind, be cognizant of what's going on with your money -- either money coming in (or expected to come in) and/or money going out (anything from debts you owe to donations you may be making).
Know that you and your views of money play an active role in your energy exchange with the universe. Combine this knowledge with today's card -- the Six of Coins (Pentacles) reversed -- as a reminder to stay aware, and remember that you always have free will...so make the most of it.

Another very appropriate card!
Last week I completed with a client that ended a bit... challengingly. The client has yet to pay for the last month's fee and I have a hunch I'm not going to see it. Last night I was contemplating how I would handle that if it happens.
Yesterday, I also had a client have to suddenly stop coaching due to a temporary financial set back - however she is intending to continue in a few months. Looking forward to Thursday's followup :)
This card somewhat applies. In our case it isn't anything coming due or someone refusing to pay, Our monetary tightness is tied to the fact that as of July 1st, the town of Apex will be paying NO overtime...only comp time will be available.
After just buying a house, I have been a little on edge to see how regular expenses will shake out. The card helps me to continue being aware and prudent with my finances. When times are good, it's easy to think everything will be fine, the "eat, drink, and be merry" syndrome. But, I know that there are cycles that will come back to bite me if I succumb. So, thanks for the awareness confirmation!
This is good insight. We have some unexpected expenses coming up, and it's good to be reminded to be prudent.
Also, if comments are currency, maybe I'm being told to comment more.
I am not sure how this applies to me at the moment but do know that a reminder to watch the finances is ALWAYS good. I will be aware of anything that might come along at this time! Thanks Sheri!
