Every Tuesday I select one card and give you my interpretation of it. See how it applies to your life. What messages are here for you?
Each Thursday I choose one reader's comment from Intuitive Tuesday and pull an additional card for more clarity...so check back on Thursday to see what cards come up.
Today’s card comes from the Legacy of the Divine Tarot by Ciro Marchetti. It is The High Priestess. Whenever I pull the High Priestess I smile. It’s a reminder to me to tune in…some kind of message is trying to surface. The High Priestess is a symbol for intuitive awareness and spiritual knowledge -- it's your inner voice and intuitive guidance.
Many times my clients and students will say, “I’m not intuitive at all.” I, however, believe we all have intuitive abilities; it’s a matter of how comfortable we are at tuning into them.
When I got my first tarot reading, I was amazed at how the tarot reader was able to layout these funny looking cards and describe my emotions and the situation I was experiencing. How did she know – was it a gift – something that the cards magically revealed?
What was even more amazing was after she and I became friends and she told me that I could read tarot cards. Me? At the time I was known by most of my friends, family and colleagues as the “Spreadsheet Queen.” My logical side couldn’t help but take over, especially when I was stressed or trying to make a decision.
My friend and mentor helped me select my first deck of tarot cards. The first time we sat down, she said, “Read my cards.” I knew NOTHING about the cards. They looked like foreign trading cards to me. How could I make any sense out of it? I felt like I was trying to read a book in another language…impossible.
The first trick was to give my logical side some time off. Just giving that energy a break felt good…AND it also felt very uncomfortable. But I did it…and ended up giving her a pretty good reading.
The energy of the High Priestess had awakened and the more I use it, the stronger it gets. It’s like lifting weights to strengthen your muscles. If you use them they grow stronger. If you don’t use them, you lose them.
Have you ever had a time when you tuned into your intuition and either didn’t recognize it or didn’t trust it? Then when the situation played out, you thought, “I knew that would happen. Why didn’t I trust my intuition?”
Pulling the High Priestess card today is a reminder to awaken and use this energy…every day. Think of the High Priestess as a wise woman, a sage or a goddess. She is the part of you that gives voice to your intuition. It’s time to listen. There are messages here for you. Important messages.
Know that intuitive messages come in many forms – you might see or hear something that prompts your intuition, or possibly you have a feeling inside that is hard to describe. If so, this may be your High Priestess speaking to you.
The message today is if you’ve had an idea rolling around in your head or thought of a person frequently (perhaps someone you haven’t seen in a while) or have an undefined feeling…listen, trust...and then act.
Take a few minutes now and tune into YOUR High Priestess. She has something to tell you. What is it?

Awfully glad you are back! and know that your trip was awesome in many ways.
I was so excited to see this post in my reader this morning. You're back! I hope your time off was refreshing.
This was the perfect thing for me to read this morning (how do you DO that?) ;). I have a very clear intuitive voice--I just have to get quiet enough to hear it. I got reacquainted with it last week and have a new goal (again) of listening.
Lately I've been fighting the hyper-critical thoughts that take over and bring me down. I know that my intuitive voice can be helpful to me in combating these thoughts, I just have to hear it. (And many times THAT is much easier said than done.)
So glad you're back. :)
Hi Sheri, I've been looking forward to your return. I'm looking forward to hearing all about your retreat!
There is a lot going on in my life at the moment. We are in the middle of a unplanned move and haven't found another house. We are going to a temporary place for awhile. I feel like our future is kind of unpredictable at the moment. I am really trying to tune in to my intuition but sometimes it gets clouded with the fear of "what if?". Like what if we can't find a house within our kids school boundaries and if not maybe it's meant to be. I'm trying to follow my intuition and set the fear aside. This is a good reminder.
Thank you!
Welcome back!!
I had a medical appointment today. While I usually "think a big game" beforehand, I almost always acquiese to what the professional tells me, without voicing my own opinion.
But today, something told me to speak up. And I did. The High Priestess within tells me that my journey to motherhood is getting closer. I'm trusting and following that. Thanks for the affirmation.
I hope you had a great retreat!!
Welcome back! I hope your trip was wonderful and refreshing.
The funny thing is, I do believe that my intuition is pretty strong, and I'll follow it when I don't have to involve others, but I do hesitate to try to sway the plans of others with my intuition. I'm just not confident enough, usually. Speaking of others, what do you do when your intuition is telling you the exact opposite of what someone else's intuition is telling him/her? And what if circumstances require that you work together?
"The first trick was to give my logical side some time off."
This has been the hardest thing for me, a priestess of the mind. But the more I disengage the logical side, the more my intuitive senses emerge. It's been fascinating to watch!
Hmmm. I must find some quiet time to tune in today. THanks for the reminder.
And welcome back!
Hi Sheri... welcome back! You were missed!! Can hardly wait to hear about the trip!!
This was a great card to pull today... and one of my favourites! A good reminder to be still and listen. Sometimes daily life gets in the way of listening... This is a good reminder to take the time to do just that... listen!!!!
