The other morning while the boys were getting ready for school, Ryan called me over to the breakfast table where he was eating his cereal and reading the Sunday comics.
He pointed at one of the comic strips, The Family Circus, and said, "Mom, that's you."
It may be tough to read, but there is a Census worker clarifying this mother's occupation as, "Just a housewife." The cloud above her head shows her many jobs as "just a housewife" including: cook, chauffeur, gardener, laundress, nurse, accountant, seamstress, referee, veterinarian, news commentator and teacher (to name a few).
At least Ryan realizes that I do SOMETHING and am not always on Spring Break (see Teenage Brains Part 1: Always on Spring Break)!

Good for him for recognizing that you have a lot of jobs! I love hearing stories about your boys since I have a 12 yr old boy. I'm getting a glimpse of what teenage years are going to be like!
It's always nice when the kids recognize what you do.
Ryan's a sharp one.
Did he then ask you to wash his track uniform?
I think it's quite a compliment to you!
