It was such a long, cold winter -- unusual for where I live. It started with a SNOW (no school) day on December 8th and stayed frozen until mid to late February (snow still on the ground).

Finally, it started to warm up. The sun came out; the temperatures began to rise and the earth (and its creatures) began to come alive again, welcoming the spring.
Luckily I had my phone with me and was able to take a picture of the flowers. The added benefit was that I got to stop for a minute, catch my breath and admire the beauty.

I love daffodils. Sadly, mine have all bloomed and are now gone.
Early spring flowers are such a symbol of promise and luscious things coming. Thanks for showing us these!
Daffodils are so cheerful. I swear it's like a little bit of sunshine right nearby.
