Intuitive Tuesday -- The Empress
Every Tuesday, I select one tarot card and give you my interpretation of it. See how it applies to your life. What messages are here for you?
Each week I choose one reader's comment and pull an additional card for more clarity...so check back on Wednesday (tomorrow) to see what cards come up.
I asked my husband to select this week's card. I shuffled and fanned the cards in front of him and lo and behold, he selected the Empress card. Perfect!
The Empress is the third of the Major Arcana cards. Her energy is goddess-like and represents the most powerful female energy in the deck. It represents feminine values and interests while still maintaining a soft, intuitive, female side.
The Empress symbolizes abundance, productivity, success, security, good fortune, healing, nurturing, love, harmony, fulfillment, continued growth and a peaceful home. You can't argue with that!
In what areas of your life do you feel this way? Where in your life can you more fully develop and express this energy? Who in your life embodies these qualities? What does it feel like when you are with him or her?
This week, consciously step more fully into this role in all areas of your life. If it doesn't feel natural, play with it. Get into the depth of these qualities and try them on like you would try on new clothes or perhaps a costume. Have fun with it. Maybe in trying it on, you'll find something you like or something that needs to be expressed more often.

The Empress Card has always been quite inspirational for me over the years...and definitely now as I struggle with some new awarenesses....finally seem to have found my Enneagram Type....a 3 (The Achiever or Performer)and many pieces of confusion and veils of denial are falling from my eyes! Not an easy process, but I asked for it...as part of the Master Mind Group I am involved in.
Here is a link to a good website to check out your Type:

Oh, Sheri, this is a good card for me right now. I am concentrating on maximizing my feminine energy as I work to make a baby this month. I will hopefully have my 2nd IUI in the middle of this month and I need some good eggs and a strong uterus. But I also need to remember my current good fortune and abundance, even if things don't go as I wish.
I feel like the Empress when I write Meaningful Posts. It's as if I am tapping into the Earth Herself, all the power and harmony that comes with that.
Perhaps this is why I love writing these posts, even though I find it daunting to THINK about writing these posts.
Furrow -- I selected today's card for you. First, I am sending you energy as you move through the next month concentrating on the energy of The Empress.
The follow-up card I selected for you is the 9 of Wands, which is a card of standing up for yourself. The Wands represents energy, action, enthusiasm and opportunities, and nine symbolizes more of those activities and energies.
It can indicate a defensive stance as though you are standing up for yourself. In fact, it feels as though you've been standing SO strong for SO long that you feel tired.
Don't give up now. The Nine of Wands indicates that there may be one more challenge to overcome and then you are on your way to success. This success may not come in the form you think right now, but it will be beautiful nonetheless.
Laura -- Thank you for the information on the Enneagram. I am a fellow 3 (Achiever or Performer). In studying this system, I have been fascinated by the self study that is available for me here. It is quite spiritual.
Lori -- You definitely embody The Empress energy when you write your posts...and in many other areas of your life. Keep nurturing YOUR soul and know that you nurture many others along the way.
Thank you for drawing the extra card for me, Sheri. Your selection makes me a little nervous, especially this part about how "success may not come in the form you think right now," but I will try to be open to different possibilities. Forewarned is forearmed (with 9 Wands, no less :). Thanks again.
This sounds a lot like my sister--this peaceful sense of productivity and success. She is very nurturing.
No, you cannot argue with that! Thanks Sheri. I really needed her...She is one of my favourites!!!
Sheri, I'm a little behind but better late than never.
I really felt the meaning in this card because right now I'm surrounded by a lot of female energy. We have lots of family visitng. I've been realizing that I'm kind of in a new place being an older female to my sister in law and 2 neices and observing how we interact and how I can be a positive part of their lives and wondering what advice I can give to a 13 yr old and my SIL who has a new and her first baby.
I hope I can be a good role model.
